Recently, as a partner of the "Peking University Luye Biomedical Innovation Fund," Luye Life Sciences Group was invited to visit Peking University. The delegation, including Mr. Yang Liang, Vice President of Brand and Public Relations of Luye Life Sciences Group; Ms. Ge Yinkai, Chief Representative of Luye Life Sciences Group in Beijing; and Ms. Liu Juan, Deputy General Manager of Luye Wei Xin Company, participated in the "Peking University Education Foundation's 30th Anniversary Appreciation Ceremony" and the "Peking University Health Science Center 2024-2025 Academic Year Student Advanced Collective and Outstanding Individual Awards Ceremony." They engaged with faculty and students to discuss growth and development.
He Guangcai, Secretary of the Peking University Party Committee, and Gong Qihuang, President of Peking University, attended the "Peking University Education Foundation's 30th Anniversary Appreciation Ceremony." The event reviewed the foundation's 30-year development journey and honored faculty and students who had demonstrated outstanding achievements in education, teaching, and scientific research innovation in 2025. He Guangcai, Secretary of the Peking University Party Committee and Chairman of the Education Foundation, delivered a speech, outlining the future development of the foundation and expressing gratitude to all sectors of society for their continued support of Peking University's growth. During the awards presentation, Ms. Ge Yinkai and Fang Fang, Vice President of Peking University, jointly presented awards to the honored faculty members.
Academician Qiao Jie, Standing Committee Member of the Peking University Party Committee and Executive Vice President, who also serves as the Director of the Health Science Center, attended the 2025 Peking University Health Science Center Awards Ceremony alongside the Health Science Center’s leadership team. Also present were representatives from relevant functional departments, leaders of various colleges, affiliated hospitals, teaching hospitals, and joint construction hospitals, as well as award-winning student representatives.
Vice President Yang Liang delivered a speech on behalf of Luye Life Sciences Group at the ceremony. He stated that the friendship between Peking University and Luye has a long history, and although the roles of universities and enterprises differ, their missions align. Today, at the crossroads of global biotechnology competition and industrial restructuring, pharmaceutical companies and medical talents alike face unprecedented opportunities and responsibilities. In her concluding remarks, Academician Qiao Jie, Standing Committee Member of the Peking University Party Committee and Executive Vice President, who also serves as the Director of the Health Science Center, reviewed the breakthroughs made by Peking University Health Science Center over the past year in areas such as top talent recruitment, scientific research innovation, and infrastructure construction. She highlighted the significant achievements of the Health Science Center in faculty development, scientific research, and campus construction, fully acknowledging the hard work of the students over the past academic year. She encouraged everyone to follow the example of the award-winning students and strive for excellence, once again thanking GreenLeaf Life Science Group and other societal forces for their support of medical education.
That afternoon, Xiao Yuan, Deputy Director of the Health Science Center and President of Peking University Binhai Hospital, and Wang Junwei, Deputy Secretary of the Health Science Center Party Committee, along with faculty and student representatives, held a "Luye Outstanding Medical Student Scholarship" symposium with the Group’s delegation. Both sides reviewed and discussed the selection and implementation mechanisms of the innovation fund.
On behalf of the university, Deputy Director Xiao Yuan expressed deep gratitude toLuye Life Sciences for its over-a-decade-long support of Peking University, praising it as a model of Chinese enterprises fulfilling social responsibilities. Deputy Director Xiao Yuan introduced the achievements of Peking University Health Science Center in recent years in discipline development and its exploration of industry-academia-research cooperation. During the meeting, both sides actively discussed how to strengthen university-enterprise collaboration to bridge the innovation chain from laboratory research to industrial application and explore more dimensions of cooperation.
The Group’s delegation also visited the Shaw Building, where they toured the "Centennial History Exhibition of Peking University Health Science Center" accompanied by Ms. Sun Lili, Director of the Alumni and Fund Office of the Health Science Center.
In 2010, Luye Life Sciences established the "Peking University Luye Biomedical Innovation Fund" at Peking University. This fund includes sub-projects such as the "Peking University Luye Biomedical Outstanding Young Scholar Award Fund," the "Peking University Health Science Center Luye Scholarship," and the "Peking University Luye Student Practice Fund." These initiatives aim to support and encourage young faculty and students who have made outstanding contributions in biomedical education, teaching, scientific research innovation, and social practice. This partnership has now lasted for 15 years.
